Hi fellow teachers. My apologies for this double posting if you are also on the FB group. I have been teaching a Chair Yoga & Dance class twice a week Tuesdays and Thursdays noon Pacific Time to the Renal Support Network (https://www.rsnhope.org/) on Zoom since September. It's a wonderful yoga gig with wonderful regular students (6-10). I, unfortunately, need to let go of this contract and looking for another CYD teacher to take it over. The classes are 45 minutes and include 1-2 dances. Some students can not stand but I try to offer hybrid (sitting or standing) poses. Low bone density is one of their main concerns. If you are interested or would like more details, please contact me at karen.yogavista@gmail.com

Peace to Kim in her healing, so glad she risked sharing her journey and not minimizing it. In her practice I did today, visualizing the silver ball of energy, may I say I see it as an illuminated disco ball, circa about 1979, and a whole new meaning to Stayin' Alive at this point in the journey. :) As a matter of fact I had drifted back to then when she brought us back to the breath and visualization. :) Thank you!

Hi Sherry and crew,

I have been a fan since 2019, and have my chair yoga and gentle yoga certification from Yoga Vista. Recently, at an assisted living facility, I taught a couple, both of whom are in a wheel chair. (I have not taken the wheel chair yoga cerification!) I am searching now and watching every wheel chair yoga video on the channel in order to learn. Thank you for being a great resource when I needed one!

From Adelaide in South Australia...I discovered Sherry a few weeks ago and have now joined the community and I am doing a class most days.

Sherry you make it so much fun especially with dances, I am old (77๐Ÿ˜‰) have a number of health issues, I am now starting to feel the benefits of doing the chair yoga.

What I particularly like is Sherry doesnโ€™t talk as if she is talking to kindergarten children!

It is just the best and I hope to challenge myself to some other classes as well but for now itโ€™s Sherry๐Ÿฅฐ

I have been doing the chair yoga dances 5 times a week since May. My balance is better, I have lost weight, my depression and anxiety is better too. My doctors and friends have noticed a big difference. I tell anyone who will listen about the chair yoga dances. My roommate has MS and uses a wheelchair to get around. I have tried to convince her to do it for months. A couple of weeks ago she saw me doing it and realized the moves were easy to do. The next day she joined me and we both had fun.

Photos: My service dog Trolley (small blonde dog) and my roommate's dog Shadow watching me while I exercise.

Yoga classes and chair dancing enabled Ken and me to parasail high over the Gulf and Orange Beach last week! That was the last
thing on my bucket list. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ love 252 Gay

Whenever I am having a particularly painful arthritis day I turn to Sharon's chair yoga classes for relief. On those days even the simplest movements can be difficult for me, but I find that if I keep trying I feel better. Thank you Yoga Vista!

After the amputation of a big toe last year, due to a diagnosis of melanoma, I began your online chair yoga and chair yoga dance classes (both seated and standing). These video segments have been wonderful in helping me to regain and keep my balance, as well as maintain a level of fitness. With this and covid-19 in the mix, it has been a challenging year - from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for making these videos available - you have definitely saved my sanity.๐Ÿ˜Šโค๏ธ
