I have severe arthritis in my lower back and right shoulder.  I take medication for this plus physical therapy, which has helped but still had pain.  I began regularly doing your chair yoga a month or two ago. Thank you Sherry and all your fellow instructors for giving me mobility back and after 1 and a half to two hours of  chair yoga dances and targeted practices for balance and diabetes, I am virtually pain free 😍. Thank you.

Thank you for all your beautiful classes, they inspire me a lot, also for my teaching seniors. I would be interested in teaching /helping seniors to move better from one position to the other (like supine to standing , prone to supine , sitting to standing up) , do you have videos on that subject?

Hello. I'm looking for ideas for chair yoga standing poses that add some variety beyond the typical ones that I'm usually using. Here are my go to: W1, W2, W3, extended side angle, goddess, triangle, tree pose, star pose, standing sun bird, downward facing dog, standing sun salutation. Of course what I use depends on my students abilities and I will use standing behind the chair, to the side or face the chair seat depending on students' ability. I know I have listed a lot of poses, but these are my go to (not all in one class of course) and I'm sure I have missed a couple. Looking to add some new items to standing poses or standing sequences if anyone has any ideas. I did a hip strengthening & mobility sequence and students loved that. So, hoping to get some ideas to inject some new ideas for standing poses/sequence/s into my chair yoga classes. I would say standing poses are usually 10 min in my chair yoga classes. Thanks in advance. Warmly, Tracy

Hi Sherry,🙂

On 11-20-23 I had knee replacement surgery.  While surgery went very well, recovery has included every challenge imaginable!  I even have "post surgical drop foot!" (Basically, my right foot has feeling, but great difficulty moving!)

Yet, God has continued to bless me with Yoga Vista!  At three months post-surgery, I'm beginning to increase my yoga sessions.  Yay!

I tried to do chair yoga in November, but had to wait.  Which makes this "now" time even more delightful!  (Even though I'm still using a walker and wearing a brace on my leg).

You bless so many with your gifts, joyful personality, and great knowledge.  Thank you, once again.  I am, without a doubt, a "Forever Fan!"😍

With Gratitude,

Gail Dutto ❤️‍🩹
